Talk to Urologist on Rashes And Small Boils On And Near Genital Areas

We are a very sexually active couple since 15 years and Never had any problem during intercourse. However I have had vaginal infections on and off which I got treatments for. However these infections have started happening more frequently now. I had a pap smear test two years ago and it came out fine. I currently have same infection problem going on and we had intercourse a few days ago after which my husband got boils and rashes on and around his genital areas. I want to know if he should get tested for something like STI’s? How can I avoid the infection as no doctor has ever told me a prevention, they just give antibiotics and thats it!
