Talk to Urologist on Scrotal Pain And Swelling After Bilateral Microsurgical Varicocelectomy

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 27 years old, Lahore

I am a 27-year-old male with bilateral varicocele (left mild–moderate, right mild). I underwent bilateral microsurgical varicocelectomy on 2 August 2026, and my stitches were removed on 12 August. My initial recovery was normal. I experience pain/aching, scrotal swelling everytime after strong arousal/erection. My surgeon has advised me that healing takes time and not to worry. My question is since the varicocele veins have already been surgically treated, is it still normal to have pain or discomfort during the healing period? Could this pain and swelling simply be part of the post-surgical healing process, as the veins and surrounding tissues may take time to heal?. Plz honest opinions
