Asking For Self, Male 25, lahore
aoa. this year in May i started to have very discomfort in my scrotum. it started from left and then spread to right as well. also that area goes numb. after ultrasound GP said its variocele. luckily it went away in 2 weeks but now again it started after 3 4 months. the pain and numbness is very severe also my sac has become lose and i am not able to get erection by myself during this pain. please suggest how to cure it. i am unmarried. should i go for surgery. will it effect me by any means in my married life? please respond.

in case of unmarried, we only wait and observe till marriage. If the pain is so severe that the patient cannot bear it then surgery can be performed
In case of married male, of there is no children after 1 yr of marriage and semen repprt is disturbed then surgery is performed. If he has children then surgery is only performed if he has severe pain. otherwise it is left as it is

walaikum salam Dr. thank you so much for your response. Usually i just have slight uncomfortable feeling but sometimes when it gets triggered it becomes severe and lasts for 1-2 weeks.
I was taking Varixinal 50mg upon GP's recommendation. I took it for 1 week only and then stopped as it didn't make any difference.
At work I wear boxer briefs (trunks) and at home no underwear.
Standing too much or sometimes walking triggers it. Also at the gym sometimes it gets triggered.
Also since it started my ball sac mostly stays lose and during severe pain days, i am unable to get erection.
Normally no pain to ejaculate
