یہ دل کی ایسی بیماری یا حالت ہے جس میں دل کی دھڑکن ایب نارمل حد تک متواتر تیز ہو جاتی ہے ۔ دل کی دھڑکن ایک منٹ کے دوران 60 سے 100 تک نارمل تصور کی جاتی ہے آرٹیل قیبریلیشن کے دوران دل کا اوپری حصہ آرٹریم بہت تیز اور غیر ہموار انداز میں دھڑکتا ہے جس سے نچلے حصے وینٹریکل پر دباؤ پڑتا ہے ۔ اکثر افراد کو کسی قسم کی علامات ظاہر نہیں ہوتی ہیں ۔ مگر بعض اوقات اس کے سبب دل کی دھڑکنوں کا تیز ہونا ، سانس لینے میں دشواری یا کمزوری محسوس ہو سکتی ہے
اس بیماری کے سبب دل میں خون کے لوتھڑے بن سکتے ہیں ۔ اس وجہ سے فالج کے امکانات بھی پیدا ہو سکتے ہیں۔ یہ بیماری وقفے وقفے سے یا مستقل طور پر ہو سکتی ہے ۔ اگرچہ یہ بہت کم جان لیوا ہوتی ہے مگر اس کے سبب فالج کا خطرہ ہوتا ہے جس سے بچنے کے لیۓ علاج ضروری ہے
