Chronic pain is a wide term which generally used for the severe pain lasting more than 12 weeks. It can affect any part of the body at any stage of the lifespan. Most of the time patients visit the doctor having complaints of pain in the body. Only in the USA around 100 million people having complaints chronic pain. Chronic pains are different from other pain. When you hurt yourself you complain pain, this is acute pain which occurs when something wrong in the body, or digestion issue etc. Acute pain is the alarming system of the body that something wrong happing in the body. But the chronic is the sign that some malfunctioning happens in the body. Chronic pain may arise as the reaction of some injury, like a strain or sprain, or an ongoing illness may cause it. Even a fatigue or sleep disturbance may cause it. To treat the painful condition mostly physicians make a diagnosis first and then recommend proper painkiller medicines and self-managing techniques to get rid of the pain completely. The treatment of chronic pain is necessary.
