GERD meaning in Urdu is "معدے کی تیزابیت". GERD stands for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. It is a long-term digestive disorder in which stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (esophagus), causing irritation and burning. Almost everyone gets acid reflux occasionally, but when it happens more than twice a week or causes damage, it is called GERD.

GERD is very common worldwide and affects roughly one in four adults in Pakistan. It is linked to spicy food, late-night meals, obesity, and stress.
