Squint or strabismus is a condition that affects normal alignment of both eyes. Due to a defect in muscular activity, one of the eyes becomes fixed at a spot while the other is moving normally. Squint is usually detectable at birth but sometimes it may surface during the first 6 months of life. People suffering from farsightedness may also get affected by strabismus at some point in their life. Sometimes infants or babies may look cross-eyed when tired or disturbed. Symptoms of Squint

The signs of squint are noticeable right from childhood. It can be seen that one of the eys is fixed at one point while the other one keeps moving to focus on objects desired. Mild squint usually goes unnoticed. This condition is either present at birth or may appear during the first 6 months of life. If left unattended it can advance to other complications.

Causes of Squint
