Hello doctors. I’ve noticed that when I stand up suddenly or change position while lying down my heart starts racing unexpectedly and i feel palpitations this never used to happen but after checking online I found it could be something called POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) I also often feel my heartbeat is irregular sometimes fast sometimes slow like what they call AFib how can this be properly diagnosed a quick 30-second ECGs,Echo’s at the hospital might miss it since the episodes happen randomly often when I’m at home thank you
you need a proper evaluation by a cardiologist followed by investigations like ecg, 24 hour holter monitoring and echocardiogram if required. donot embark on the path of self investigations as they can often give false positive results and unnecessary anxiety

if you think a quick 30 second ECG is not sufficient to identify your condition and your irregularities come and go at different times then maybe you can go for exercise tolerance test which will help identify ECG and some other parameters during exercise or running or jogging depending on your fitness
your daily routine? sleep schedule? diet? screen time? any stress?

You need to get a Holter and a Head Up Table Tilt Test done

Thank you for your advice sir. Is it available in isb (the tilt test) ? And can i go home with holter machine on or do i have to stay in the hospital?
