Asking For Father, Male 50, Sialkot
Patient Profile: Mr. M. Azam, 50 years old, with a history of type 2 diabetes and dyslipidemia.Medical History: Approximately two years ago, he experienced pain on the right side, which was initially thought to be muscular and treated accordingly, and the pain resolved. Three months ago, he presented with high blood sugar and developed severe left arm pain radiating to his hand and back. This was initially thought to be neuropathic pain, especially since his ETT negative, and he was treated with neuropathic medications, which alleviated the pain.Recently he started experiencing sleep disturbances and SOB, leading to an echocardiogram that revealed a reduced (EF)30%, indicating ischemic cardiomyopathy.consulted Dr. Asad Riaz, who diagnosed underlying heart disease and started him on a comprehensive medication regimen.Recently, he underwent coronary angiography, which revealed critical blockages in all three major coronary arteries. But pateint stable now, with no chest pain or shortness
what is your query in all this ?
what did your cardiologist suggest you after angiography ?

The goal now is to get a second opinion to see if an adjustment in medications might suffice or if surgery is truly necessary??

patient should get a thallium scan done first to see viable myocardium as currently patient is pain free.
if thallium scan suggests enough viable myocardium then patient should get a CABG done.
