he has not any heart related disease neither blood pressure or hypertension nor asthamatic . still his oxygen level falls down to 50%-60%. he's on oxygen and antibiotics since two weeks but not any recovery.

because he has an infection in pancreas. and may be he got pneumonia.
but oxygen saturation is not stable

he's admitted in hospital..but thing to worry is that recovery isn't seen in last 10 days...where should we give him best treatment. he's addicted to smoking and doctors said that smoking has caused infection

most likely his lungs are badly damaged due to chronic smoking, most likely it is lower respiratory tract infection and acute exacerbation of COPD.

whether he has underlying fibrosis/ ILD or bronchiectasis one can only comment on it after reviewing the HRCT report.

it's best to discuss all this with the primary physician/ pulmonologist/ chest specialist attending the patient.
