I have my dermatologist Sabrina Sohail Paul in lahore pakistan but currently I'm out of country for two months. I had this red pink patch in groin crease that doesn't itch but on touch it feels like thinner skin than rest of area. Ma'am Sabrina gave travacort to use for one month likin yay kam nai hua ussay balkay thora size may increase hua hay. I just want to know diagnosis and what will be treatment and prognosis and wether I should continue travacort or stop. I do have history of eczema but this is not itchy at all. Just feels thinner and depressed area than surrounding

hello,
the cream you are using is for the fungal infection and if this is not working then you must stop that.
in picture the area looks shiny and thin.
it needs to be seen in the person to find out what is the cause?
its its not itchy try leave it alone and dont use anything.
use some over the counter emollient to keep the area moist.
sometimes Eczema areas can be also non itchy as well.
if the skin is not dry and scaling then to observe for sometime is a good idea.
i have learnt over the time that many of the skin conditions should be observed over time and see how they are setlting in.
of course you should go in person where you are to get a concrete diagnosis from the skin care team.
thanks

The basic problem for which you have been prescribed Travocort cream is called Intertrigo.

It may be mentioned that Travocort contains steroid (in addition to antifungal).

Steroid use leads to thinning of skin which is called skin atrophy.

So you have developed skin atrophy due to long use of Travocort cream.

It is further added that prescription of your Dermatologist was appropriate but prolonged use of Travocort cream that has created this problem.

So what to do now ?

The first thing is to stop using Travocort cream any more.

Use 0. 1% Tacrolimus Ointment twice daily over effected areas.

Keep your groin area dry as far as possible.

Wear loose cotton clothes and avoid jeans.

And consult Dr Paul on first available opportunities.
