Talk to Dermatologist on Painful Feet
Asking for Other, Female, 25 years old, DHA Lahore
City: LAHORE
Problem: The patient's feet are swollen all the time. The white markings on the big toe nails of both feet are moving in the same direction at the same time. Right side of these two toes are swollen and slightly painful. No pus or bleeding.
History: Toe nail infections, but they cured on their own after a while. The swollen feet have been consistent.
Question: 1) Could it be something more than fungal infection? I was told that since its bilateral, it is a cause of concern. Is there any chance it's cancerous? 2) Doctors are insisting on booking an appointment with a surgeon without any examination whatsoever. Patient cannot afford a surgery, is there any cure with external creams or other treatment?
PS. The nail has deliberately been left untrimmed to evaluate whether its a toenail or fungal infection.
