Asking For Self, Male, 32 Years old, Lahore
Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with a stubborn dandruff-like issue for a while now, it affects my beard, moustache, scalp, eyebrows, and even the front hairline near my forehead. The flakes are clearly visible on my skin (especially under facial hair), and the area sometimes gets red and irritated after scratching or washing.
I visited a dermatologist, and he prescribed Diprocort lotion, which does help when the area gets itchy but it doesn’t actually fix the flaking. I also tried Selsun (selenium sulfide shampoo), but it didn’t make a big difference either.
I’ve attached a picture taken right after washing my face and applying Diprocort, you can still see the redness and remaining flakes.
Can someone please help me understand: - Why is this happening across multiple areas (scalp, beard, eyebrows)? - Is this seborrheic dermatitis or something else? - What’s the best daily or weekly routine (products, shampoo, face wash, moisturizer) to completely manage or get rid of it?
I’d reall
