Talk to Dermatologist on Scalp Folliculitus

Hello Doctor, I have been struggling with scalp issues for many years. Around 3–4 years ago, I was given an antibiotic course and at that time my scalp pimples completely cleared. After that, I remained fine for some time, but the problem started to come back. For the past few months, I again have frequent pus-filled pimples on my scalp. Whenever I take antibiotics, they improve temporarily, but after 2–3 weeks they return. Recently, a doctor prescribed me the following:

Neucef (1 week, twice daily)

Fusidic acid cream

Lipovate lotion

He told me to come back for a check-up after 3 weeks, but the antibiotic course is only for 1 week. Honestly, considering the condition of my scalp, I don’t feel that only 1 week of antibiotics will solve the problem.

I would like to know:

What could be the main cause of these recurring scalp pimples?

Should I undergo any specific tests (e.g., pus culture & sensitivity, fungal culture, HbA1c, or others) to find the root cause?
