Asking For Self, Female 45, Lahore Madina colony
My mother has a history of skin allergy that appears as purple patches and heals in 1–2 weeks. Recently, she had her teeth (wisdom tooth) removed, and the doctor gave her medicines (Augmentin 625 mg and Dolkam Plus) for post-dental pain. After taking these medicines, she developed swelling, itching, purple-red patches on hands and feet, and a mark on her upper lip. This looks like an allergic flare-up triggered by the medicines. Photos can be shared. Please advise safe treatment and whether she should stop these medicines.

My mother had her tooth removed recently and the dentist prescribed Augmentin 625 mg and Dolkam Plus. After taking these medicines, she developed swelling, itching, and purple-red allergy patches on hands and feet. A mark also appeared on her upper lip.
She has a previous history of similar skin allergy episodes that usually take 1–2 weeks to heal.
Please guide if this is a medicine reaction and what immediate treatment is safe for her. Should she stop these medicines? Photos are attached.

It seems like fixed drug eruptions. The main culprits are certain drugs/medicines. She needs to note down the medicines that caused it and try to avoid it at any cost. Let the doctor know about these meds in future consultations for any kind of health issue. For now stop all kinds of meds. Esp pain killers.
