Asking for Self, Male, 28 years old, Saudi Arabia
Dear Doctor,
I am 28 years old, and I’ve recently noticed white hairs starting to appear in my beard. Is this normal at my age, or could it be a sign of something like stress, a nutritional deficiency, or a medical condition?
Do I need any tests, or is there anything I can do to prevent more white hairs from appearing?
Thank you for your help.
Best regards, [Farmanullah] KSA

Yes stress leads to oxidative stress on cellular level that could trigger or accelerate greying of hair. Greying of hair could be genetic, could be due to nutritional deficiencies if it happens too early in life like before 20 or before 25 in asians.
