Asking For Self, Female, 33 Years old, Karachi
Asalamoaleikum. I am a 33 year old mother of three. My youngest is four months old. For the past one month I’ve been feeling extremely hot. It’s even like I wake up in the middle of the night (in a chilled air conditioned room) and feel as if the ac is not working. I am unable to drink more water. If I don’t eat anything I don’t feel hungry at all and when food is kept infront of me I cannot stop myself from eating more and more. My weight too is stuck. In my previous post pregnancies I could easily get rid of the excess weight with proper nursing the baby, eating healthy food and avoiding junk. Due to these reasons I get overstimulated very frequently.

It sounds like you may be experiencing postpartum thyroiditis, which can present with hot flashes, night sweats, and increased appetite. The next step is to have a thyroid panel (TSH, Free T4, TPO antibodies) to confirm. If the results show a hyperthyroid pattern, we can start a beta‑blocker and monitor; this usually resolves in a few months. Meanwhile, keep hydrated, avoid caffeine, and monitor weight. Do you notice any eye changes or tremors?
