Talk to Endocrinologist on Need Honest Suggestion And Advice

Assalam-o-Alaikum Doctors,

I am a 21-year-old male seeking guidance regarding excessive body hair.

My concern is that whenever I consult local doctors, I am usually told that my body hair is genetic and normal without any detailed evaluation or investigations. I understand that genetics is a common cause of heavy body hair in men, but in my case, I am concerned because no close family members have a similar degree or pattern of body hair.

Along with excessive body hair, I have experienced:

- Rapid increase in body hair over time - Low libido - Unusual muscle loss - Unusual weight gain - Fatigue and low energy - Excessive sweating - Mood changes - Urine leakage/dribbling - Brain fog Short statue - Difficulty with focus and attention - Decline in cognitive performance compared with my previous baseline - Memory lapses - Disturbed sleep

My questions are:

1. Can these symptoms still be explained by genetics alone, or should hormonal, endocrine, metabolic, neurological, or other medical causes be considered? 2. What features help distinguish normal genetic body hair from body hair caused by an underlying medical condition? 3. Which investigations would be appropriate in such a case? Would tests such as total testosterone, free testosterone, LH, FSH, prolactin, thyroid profile, DHEA-S, cortisol, blood sugar testing, or other hormonal investigations be helpful? 4. If an underlying cause is identified and treated, can the excessive body hair reduce over time, or would laser/electrolysis still be required?
