Female Age 55 years She had hypothyroidism 15 years ago and on thyroxine. But when symptoms disappeared she left the medicine. Then now she is having pain in jaw line and throat and chin area. And the report of thyroid profile as below. Doctor prescribed thyroxine 1 tablet daily. Does she need that? Reports are in normal range though

You need to do CBC, ESR
And do THYROID SCAN to see the uptake of radioactive iodine.
If the trader uptake is reduced then you most likely have a condition called Thyroiditis, where you don't need to take Thyroxine. Rather you need symptomatic relief. In such case you will repeat TSH and freeT4 tests after 4 weeks.
