Type 1 diabetes has a standardized protocol for its management, i.e. insulin. However, 7 years old requires more than just Insulin shots, starting off from changes in the dietary habits along with preparing for the growth phase. What regimen of insulin your daughter is on, and how's her blood glucose control? - Are you guys familiar with carbohydrate counting? we typically continue the same regimen( if it is controlling glucose adequately)- in the long run insulin pump therapy be a good option if parents are willing and available to be trained
