Talk to Ent Specialist on Coughing, Phlegm

Every other day, I wake up wheezing a lot and feel a little feverish. However, after waking up, I cough and spit phlegm which helps the wheezing and feverish sensation go away. Occasionally, the phlegm also looks like it contains a dark coloured material.

Historically, I have had asthma as a child, and I was smoking a pack a day for more than 4 years. Recently, however, I have cut down to a single cigarette a day.
