Asking for Self, Male, 25 years old, Lahore
Sir, I had a check-up with you about six months ago because there was a hole in my eardrum. At that time, you advised me to leave it as it was and said that the eardrum would heal and the hole would close on its own. Alhamdulillah, the hole has now healed.
However, I sometimes experience pain behind my ear while speaking, and I also hear a ringing or whistling sound in my ear. I have also had this test done recently.
Could you please guide me on what I should do? Should I come to you for another check-up, or could you recommend a doctor who can examine me? I would also like to know what could be causing this ringing and whistling sound in my ear.
Your sense of hearing is affected in both ears. Right ear is affected more than left. Medicines can help with ringing problem and slow down further weakness of sense of hearing but cannot help restore hearing. but cannot
