Talk to Ent Specialist on Itchy Throat & Dry Cough

Hi Drs,
2 weeks earlier I had a severe soar throat with 101- 102 fever with severe weakness. It took 1 week and last Friday I felt much better. I took Tevanic 250mg for 5 days, Dr adviced twice a day but I used to forget and took once daily for 5 days.
Now, I have itchy and dry throat and dry cough, specially when I'm asleep, need to drink water to get better. Moreover, dry cough also increases when Ac is turned on for a while.
Kindly advice treatment. Thanks!
As-Salamu Alaykum. sorry to say but whats the point of asking for treatment if you are doing what you want.
it was the appropriate treatment which the doctor prescribed you. and u took underdose which might lead to resistance of tevanic meaning it might not work again in the future.
kindly get urself checked again and tell the doctor that u have taken underdose of tevanic so that he gives a different formula

Wsalam! Thanks for your response Dr.
But I took the last dose about 7-8 days ago as the 5 days were completed.
The point of question here is my soar throat is better and fever is gone after taking tevanic.
But itchy throat and dry thoat is the concern now.

if u want symptomatic treatment then take joshanda or any anti allergy.
but for me the point of concern is the proper dosage and total no of days of treatment.
just future instances. full course of antibiotic is not only about days its also about 'dosage'
