I have a throat infection for about a month now. the first time, the doctor prescribed me amclav (augmentin 625 mg for three times a day and ibuprofen 400 mg) I took the augmentin for 5 days, no effect and still felt mucus and throat swelling and pain swallowing. I then took cefim, then a third-generation antibiotic for five days (400 mg per day) and felt better but the mucus is still thick and throat feels painful and swollen on the seventh day. And now I have a fever as well. The ENT specialist told me i have sinisitus, but i dont have a stuffy nose or post nasal drip. what should i do???

get a CBC done
U have already taken a lot of antibiotics, may be unduly. Actually allergy may be ur main problem for which a detailed history n relavant examination would be required before starting treatment
stop all antibiotics and visit ENT specialist.
