Asking for Self, Male, 33 years old, Kanju
Problem: Right Vocal Cord Paralysis (for 10 years). Past Surgery: I had a Thyroplasty surgery 8 years ago, but my voice only improved by about 10%. Current Symptoms: Air leaks out when I talk (breathy voice). A lot of noise/roughness in my voice. Voice feels weak and gets tired very quickly while speaking. I am looking for expert advice on whether Voice Therapy (exercises) or any further treatment/surgery can help close the gap in my vocal cords and fix my voice.
You should first get an examination done from an ENT specialist and then a proper CT scan and then if organic causes are ruled out, you should go for speech/voice therapy.
