Talk to Ent Specialist on Tongue Swelling

My maternal uncle is 45 years old and has been experiencing tongue swelling for approximately 3–4 months. Initially, he developed swelling around his neck, and later the swelling appeared on his tongue. We have consulted several doctors, but his tongue has still not returned to normal.

He continues to have tongue swelling and is having difficulty speaking

We have had several tests done, including CBC, ESR, CRP, C4, and IgE levels. The images of all these reports are attached with this request.

We also had his thyroid function (TSH) tested. His TSH was initially high, but a repeat test later showed that it had returned to the normal range.

He was prescribed the following medicines by a doctor and has been taking them for approximately 15 days:

* Delta Cortil EC 5 mg — 4 tablets in the morning and 4 tablets in the evening * Softin 10 mg — 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening

The swelling has decreased somewhat with the medicines, but his tongue is still not completely normal, and he continues to have difficulty speaking.
