Asking for Self, Female, 24 years old, Lahore
I was first diagnosed with vertigo in December 2023 and was prescribed Serc for maintenance. After a few months, I experienced multiple recurring episodes. Most recently, since November 2025, I have been feeling persistent dizziness.
I underwent blood tests, including iron studies and a CBC, and the results were normal. Last night, I consulted an ENT specialist who diagnosed bilateral ear stones (BPPV). He mentioned that the stones were obstructing the view of my eardrum and performed a removal procedure. He prescribed medication for one week and advised a follow-up visit if the dizziness persists.
Although the procedure has been done, I still feel dizzy, especially with head movements or physical activity. I do not experience eye twitching, but the dizziness significantly affects my productivity and daily functioning. I am not currently performing any Epley maneuvers.
I would like to know:
Whether the current treatment approach seems appropriate
What additional steps I
If the procudeure was done yesterday, then it is very possible to have dizziness, persistent of dizziness after successful treatment of bppv is very common.
