Myopia At Age 5 Years Old Child

Question

Can someone guide me regarding  5 years old daughter suddenly diagnosed with Myopia, Her vision is 6/9.(-2.50, -2.00)
is this condition reversible?.
We are advised by doctor to use glasses. Do we need 2nd opinion ?.

This is not reversible, myopia tends to progress with age, this may be inherited or may be associated with life style( excessive near work), use glasses regularly and follow up 2 times in a year, encourage outdoor activities and Have balanced diet, if child is school going, study in good lighting condition, these are the factors that may help to reduce its progression
