Talk to Gastroenterologist on Feet Swelling

My aunt's feet get swell when she tries to stand and walk. The doctor diagnosed and he told it is due to Hepatitis C which is in initial state but not activated in the body at major scale. So he wrote a medicine 'Maculas' which need to take once a day. But after taking the medicine my aunt not feeling well and having the stomach issue. Not able to walk properly also not taking the diet properly. So is it right medicine for my aunt as she didn't take the medicine in her life.
