Talk to Gastroenterologist on Stomach, Constipation

Aslamu Alaikum

I have had constipation problems for last 2 months and sometimes stomach pain after eating and sometimes when passing the stool. the general doctor prescribed my constipation syrup and said drink more water and eat fibre foods. I didn't take any medicine except constipation syrup.

I am actually worried about it i am already overthinking the person so this gives me anxiety as well. Pls tell me what is the reason and should i go to the gastrologist for the consultation.
