Asking For Self, Male, 31 Years old, Lahore
Sure! Here’s a rephrased version:
Hi,
I’ve recently observed that drinking tea or coffee, especially with milk, triggers symptoms like bloating, nausea, gas, and what seems to be GERD (acid reflux, heartburn, etc.). These issues consistently occur after consuming milk-based coffee or tea, and it’s starting to disrupt my routine.
Could this be related to lactose intolerance, or might it be due to the acidity or caffeine in tea and coffee?
It’s been over a month now, and while medications like Ganton and Risek provide temporary relief, the symptoms tend to reoccur—possibly due to continued tea and coffee consumption.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks in advance!
GERD , Dyspepsia and lactose intolerance all are different conditions and can present with any combination of above group of symptoms as you are suffering from. But they all have different risk factors. To establish a diagnosis gastroenterologist need a detailed history followed by relevant stool studies and possibly upper GI Endoscopy as required.
visit a gastroenterologist and limit use of coffee , avoid fried and fatty foods, take small meals and daily walk /exercise.

In my opinion bloating and gas in the abdomen are not a feature of GERD. As you have noticed that your symptoms increase when you add milk in the tea and coffee, most likely it may be due to milk (lactose) intolerance. If you try whiteners ( like Everyday) instead of milk may be your bloating and gas symptoms go away or are reduced.

I normally use whitener for making tea and coffee at office. The first time it happened 2-3 months ago. Doctor prescribed risek, ganaton and onset for 3 days and I was okay after that. But since then it has reoccurred 3-4 times and taking these medicines help.
