Talk to Gastroenterologist on Treating Iron Deficiency Anemia

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Female, 24 Years old, lahorw

I have severe iron deficiency anemia for which I was prescribed iron tablets. Now I have started taking bisleri (iron + folic acid) but I’m also taking a multivitamin tablet that contains 14mg of iron and 250ug of folic acid along with other vitamins and minerals. Bisleri has 100mg of iron and 350ug of folic acid. I take both once a day at different times. I want to know of by any chance I am taking any overdose and if I should avoid multivitamin.

You need to take only one type of medicine . both medicine lead to overdose. so overdose is more dangerous than lower dose

Thank you for replying. So how do I take my other vitamins, I want to keep taking my multivitamins as well. And If I just resort to the multivitamin tablet, I wont be getting the required iron needed to treat my anemia. My anemia is very severe
