Asking for Husband, Male, 30 years old, Karachi
My husband started smoking at age 10. And started hash at age 12, so its been almost 18 years now. A few months back he started over dosing hash with some new friends, and 2 days back he found blood in his saliva and phlegm after coughing. We are very worried. He stopped over dosing immediately and smoking moderately now. Please tell me what tests should I get done, I need a list of tests which should be done in this situation, then we'll go to see a doctor with test results. Your help will be really appreciated. Do the following test
CXR PA view
Sputum AFB / Genxpert
CBC
HbsAg /AntiHCV
PFTs with reversibility
Please, other symptoms if have tell us
Do xray chest and CBC ESR test for TB
need to be visited by a specialist physician soon after taking history and doing physical examination and some tests including x-ray and sputum tests CBC ESR... then everything will be cleared up

chest xray AP lateral
sputum culture
sputum afb
ESR
hep b antigen
anti hcv
pulmonary functions test
sputum culture and afb along with CBC,LFT and pt/INR
Test should be done..
(1) CBC LFTs RFTs ESR
(2) chest X ray AP and
lateral view (digital)
(3) sputum culture for mycobacterium
CBC, ESR, CHEST XRAY(PA VIEW), SPUTUM AFB, SPUTUM CULTURE, HbsAg, Anti HCV
Do these asap and followup with a physician alongwith the reports.
