Talk to General Physician on Tonsil Discomfort

I had a sore throat in January and the dr. Prescribed me azomax however i took tavanic as i presumably do not respond well to azithromycin. I have had thomis sore throat on my right side on and off and now for the past two weeks i have pain in the right tonsil and it aches when i it feels like something is stuck on the right side of my throat at the base of the tongue. Terribly distressed! Please guide.
