Talk to General Practitioner on Corona Positive
Asking for Mother, Female, 57 years old, Karachi
AOA! my mother tested positive for Corona though she has no symptoms of the disease... Neither any flu, cough or fever nor any loss of smell or taste... My question is what are we required to do now beside isolating her? Do we need to start any kind of medication? Kindly guide... P.S., She is hypertensive and diabetic too...
How did you get to know that she's covid positive? There must symptoms.. Give me proper history and active complain so i can start covid medications.. Since i m in corona ward

Continue all other medication as such
Should be in a separate room, complete isolation, food outside her room where she can collect it and put it back. Her things like comb, towel, everything should be in her room. Better for her family members if any dealing with your mother for gloves n mask. She herself should wear mask.
Frequent hand washing with soap
She should drink more water , fresh fruit and veg and liquid like soups
If only symptomatic paracetamol but should be a break of atleast 6 hours
If persistent fever, cough or shortness of breath contact doctor

Hello.. Isolate her completely. Separate her utensils.. Give her chicken yakhni twice daily.. tab surbex z 1 tab daily. Steam inhalation 3 times daily.. And abocal 1 effervescent tab in one glass of water.. give more fruits and vegetables. Complete bedrest.. If fever or myalgia, give 2 tab panadol..
Isolate her. Buy pulse oximetry to keep an eye on her saturation. Also check temperature regularly. Give her surbex Z and cac 1000. Eat healthy food. Give her dry fruits. If her sugar is well controlled then give her one to two ajwa dates daily. It is good for immunity. If sugar not control then don’t give her dates. Continue her medicines for hypertension and diabetes.
