Talk to General Practitioner on Non Inflammatory Myopthy

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Male 20, Narowal

"I have non-inflammatory myopathy, which is inherited since my older brother also has this condition. Out of five brothers, two of us are affected. I've consulted some doctors, and some say that treatment is not possible, but we can manage it. However, one of the best doctors in my district prescribed some medication, which was supposed to slow down the disease progression. Unfortunately, instead of improving, my condition worsened. The doctor advised me to avoid unnecessary walking and strenuous activities to prevent muscle fatigue. I followed this advice for four to five months, but when I resumed walking, I found it extremely difficult. Even short walks left me feeling extremely fatigued, as if I was about to fall."

kindly share the name of medicine prescribed by the doc. otherwise symptomatic management with pain relievers like NSAIDS and physiotherapy aid in relieving the symptoms. some tests like Cbc,vit D,serum calcium and thyroid profile are required. these tests will reveal the clear picture and accordingly treatment should be done
