Aoa dr I have clostridium difficile symptoms gastroenterologist suggest me ct and colonoscopy for confirmation, is any other stool or blood test available for this disease?
There’s no need of CT and colonoscopy for clostridium difficult. The doctor must have advised u these tests for another reason. For you can do stool culture. what are ur symptoms ?

Dear pateint... The thing is that the treatment of this clostridum difficle is very simple... U dont need to confirm it... As we can give medication prophylactically to eliminate this infection... So no need of any test... As the medication course has no side effects... Its wise decision to take medication rather than wasting time on doing tests...

U should not go for any other test for this problem.... Bcaz if u go for colonoscopy then this test has its own complications.... So its better that u take medication for 7 days....
