Talk to General Practitioner on Living In Industrial Area

i am living in the world largest industrial city Jubail. there are a lot of plants of iron,plastics, chemicals, petrochemicals etc near us which burns something in chimneys all the time round the clock. Is it safe to live here? or can it cause some serious illness like cancer? I will stay here for 2 years. is this enough exposure to cause me any harm if the environment is harmful in industrial areas?
