Assalam o alaikum. 50 years is not that age as you mentioned issues. Please also mention she is diabetic, hypertensive, ischemic heart disease or any history of asthma.
As you mentioned most probably degenerative bony changes, very common in females especially after menopause. These changes occuring in whole spine and all vertebra. Similarly osteoarthritis knee.
What to do.
Of course she should be examined by a qualified orthopedic surgeon, qualified pain physician.
She needs good physiotherapy and medication accordingly.
You might have to do labs and xrays.
