Talk to General Surgeon on Gall Bladder Stones
Asking For Mother, Female 53, Karachi
my mother has gall bladder stones from last 17-18 years I guess or may be more than that, she was using homeopathic medicine in early days then she stopped taking medicine, she do strich "perhaiz" she is also diabetic patient, every month she goes for her regular checkup if anyone wants I will share all her recent reports, but the matter is every time when we asks Doctors to do her gall bladder removal surgery they always say " agar dard nahi hota to cheren nahi aesi chor dain" but I come to know about a case when man dies when his gall bladder burst due to stones. I'm worried about my mother. can anyone guide me about this kiya waqai agr drd na hoto aesi chor dena chahiye?

If she is asymptomatic, leave it alone
if she has no symptoms, of abdominal pain, jaundice, or any prior history of that pain with fever,
then no need of surgery

let me explain. I have been doing hepatobilary surgery for last 20 y. she needs removal of gall bladder. best time of surgery is when no pain. why she needs surgery? 1. gall bladder with stones is non functioning gall bladder can any time perforate can cause acute pain and now a days gall stone induced pancreatitis is very common itcan vlbe very dangerous. 2 . stone can slip any time and patient will develop obstructive jaundice so again long treatment. 3.Although igall stones don't cause cancer but 80 percent patient having cancer are having gall stones . don't take any risk get it operated and from next day go to your work it's very safe surgery
Better to get her assessed by a surgeon in case of multiple stones it’s better to get it removed

Where are you from? As it will need physical assessment. Since she is diabetic she may not have severe symptoms of gallstones.
In non-diabetic patients with gallstones, it can be left alone if they are not causing pain. But, for diabetic patients, it is better to get it removed because in diabetic patients sumptoms of pain are not prominanat so patient can present with severe complications.. So it is better to get laparoscopic removal of gallbladder..
