Asking For Self, Male 20, Lahore
there is pain in my back and fever. Utrasound show that there are small polyps in gallbladder and splenomegaly. Is back pain and fever is due to polyps . What are the possible treatments ?
For polyps gallbladder will need to be removed. Spleenomegaly needs to be investigated.
well gall bladder polys needs surveillance and gall bladder needs to be removed if it has polys or stones..... i need to know the details of ure pain... starting point, radiation... realtion with food?

polyps arent a good thing... they hav tendency to turn cancerous over time. so yes surgery is the option u hav for gall bladder and as for spleen.. it needs further evaluation

Please get examined at clinic
These are multiple polyp so gallbladder should b excised by laparoscopic surgery.. Cause of spleenomegaly should b rule out after examination and some investigations.
no treatment is needed now but if polyp is bigger then 7 mm or it is close to cystic duct then you require cholecystectomy otherwise follow up ultrasound scan after 6 month.
