Assalam o Alikm...my mother have stones in gallbladder...the doctors said that the bile duct is blocked with stones..they prescribed mrcp test..what should i do.thanks

when the stone in the gall bladder slips into the CBD it can block it and causes constructive jaundice. MRCP confirms the level of obstruction. treatment in ERCP followed by lap Cholecystectomy. you can go ahead with the surgeon's advice.
condition of the pt, age, related comorbidities?, if fit, and CBD has confirmed dilatation, can go for ERCP, n laparoscopic cholecystectomy preferably within the same admition or in the same week.

Waalaikum Salam, the gallstone disease can be complicated by slippage of stone in the CBD resulting in jaundice hence causing the complication and the treatment a bit difficult. Because we than need to further investigate the case with either MRCP or ERCP. ERCP is more helpful because most of the time this can clear the CBD of these stones. However, for proper management you must follow the instructions of your surgeon.
Waalikum Asallam. Plz get her MRCP done as it can lead to further complications any time. Many hospitals are open and doing elective surgeries. What are u giving her for pain ? Plz avoid fatty foods totally as it will aggravate her pain. Hope this help.
