Gallbladder is a factory of making stones. These stones can lead to inflammation of the gallbladder, thus causing pain and nausea and vomiting. The pain is on the right side of the tummy just under the rib margin. This happens after eating fatty foods. Some times these stones can pass forward into a duct leading to jaundice and life threatening pancreatitis. If the gallbladder is causing symptoms then it should be removed. The gold standard is keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery.
