Talk to General Surgeon on Hydrocele Surgery
Asking For Self, Male, 19 Years old, faisalabad
dr have recommended me hydrocele surgery and it scares me alot. I have anxiety and cardiophobia already and taking citanew. Overall i am fine now but i cant go for surgery . Can i go with sclerotherapy and aspiration? Please tell me if theres any other way. I am too much scared of anesthisia

there is recurrence with aspiration of hydrocele. if it's not very huge you can just leave it. but if it's causing pain or increasing in size would recommend surgery

Its increased upto 320 ml and gernal anesthesia sounds very scary . It cant be done under local anesthisia?

there is risk of recurrence and it will bother you more , better to go for surgical procedure under GA

yes spinal is more safer than GA for All procedures before belly botton, even anesthetist can slightly sedate you for relieving your anxiety.

I would suggest you for surgery and you can get under GENERAL anesthesia... aspiration or sclerotherapy aren't good options.

repeated aspirations can cause infection and recurrence of hydrocele so it requires definite treatment under spinal anesthesia
Aspiration is temporary, it will recur after few months. It will also increase in size gradually. Surgery is permanent solution
As my colleagues have already explained, at your age surgery is the only option.
Small hydroceles can be removed in local anesthesia but it causes more pain.
Usually spinal anesthesia is ideal.
But because of your phobias I would advise a sedative injection in your room before going to operation theater and general anesthesia for the operation.
This way u will avoid the fear of operation table
