i am 23 make, i had internal hemorrhoids that were painless and only caused mild bright red spots during bowel that got away for sometime and would come back at times. I went to a consultant and he at that moment just did proctoscopy and there he did banding, he banded aroung 5-6 but they were small and i never felt bulding out during my bowels. but now im worried about the long term effects of this procedure because someone told me they may cause narrowing of anal canal, and i have alot of anxiety since then that what will be the outcomes of this. i had the banding yesterday and i have pain or any discomfort since tpday only mild presure feeling yesterday.
no need to worry.
banding is a very safe procedure and it doesn\'t have any such side effects.

Banding of internal haemorrhoids shouldn\'t cause anal stenosis.

Banding done yesterday there will be pain or discomfort for a few days. Most probably there will not be any narrowing. Plz follow instructions of the Surgeon
