yes.. besides gall stones.. there are pther causes of pancreatitis like alcohol, drugs, diabetes etc.. removing gall bladder removes the common cause but does not prevent other causes

yes, Possibility of Pancreatitis is there even after cholecystectomy, even if other causes are not present. bcs Bile is lithogenic, so the drug which decreases lithogenecity should be used. If patient is using cholesterol lowering drug then it is mandatory to use drug which decreases lithogenecity.
