How big is the hernia. How much problem it is causing. plus she needs to be seen by surgeon if there is need of surgery or not

Hernia where? In the centre of abdomen? If it is not causing much pain then better to avoid surgery however in general, laproscopic can be done for hernias

72 years with CLD, can cause ventral hernia, have to treat first the CLD and chirrosis, then get her examined for timing of hernia surgery.

assalam o alaikum, first her comorbidities are to be addressed then only after seeing the pt, treatment can be planned, but if not very problematic, should wait.

It will not be good to operate a patient with so many co morbids and esp cirrhosis with ascites. Plus it will give extra chances of complications of surgery esp infection and ascites leak
