Asking for Father, Male, 59 years old, Gujranwala, Pakistan
Hello Doctor, My father has been diagnosed with an umbilical hernia. I would like to know if you evaluate and perform surgery for adult umbilical hernias. If so, could you please let me know: Whether you treat adult umbilical hernias. If you perform laparoscopic surgery, open surgery, or both. Whether an appointment and any imaging/tests are required before surgery. The estimated cost of consultation and surgery. Thank you.
Homeopathic se elaj krwayn,
Open surgery se behter ha
The only treatment for any Hernia is surgical. The decision whether to undergo surgery or not must be with your surgeon's advice. Umbilical hernia has chances of strangulation (getting stuck) if the neck is narrow. So physical examination by any surgeon is very important. There are two surgical options, open surgery or laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is always better when possible.
Hernia ka koi non surgical treatment nhi hota. Please beware.
From which city you are?Only treatment for hernia is surgery
In order to treat a hernia we’ll have to rule out the causes and then perform surgery that is the definitive treatment… you’ll need basic baseline investigations before proceeding to surgery
Get your father examined first and discuss the options with surgeon
