Talk to General Surgeon on Wound/rashes Under Stoma
Asking For Mother, Male 61, peshawar
Respected Doctors,
a few days ago my mom is gone through under surgical operation, doctor done ileostomy with double barrel successfully, Now my Mom is suffering from pain of rashes/wound under the stoma. (reflection of same is attached below). Therefore, kindly suggest me treatment for this issue.

Apply stomahesive innlarge quantity around the stoma before applying the wafer. But before that apply pseudo cream so that the eczema improves

Need daily cleaning and apply zinc paste on the surrounding skin as the effluent of ileostomy is irritant for the skin

Aslamoalakum, in addition to the advice by worthy colleagues, you need to empty it early as soon as the bag gets a bit filled and measure daily output in some type of container. Can I ask what was the primary abnormality found during surgery?

sir firstly our surgeon done colostomy but after 1 month of colostomy reversal, we spot minor leakage, then surgeon suggest that leave that minor leakage to hell on it's own because the patient is over age and also diabetic one, but after the wait of 5 months the output leakage is increase, then we will operate again and found 4 fistulas.

Please take care. Cleaning and apply Rashnil cream at the rashes. Take care of her food... Avoide food causing loose stool..
