Asking for Self, Female, 26 years old, Lahore
Hello doctor. I’m currently 32+ weeks pregnant. On my 28 week scan, 2 loops of cord were seen around the neck, one making a complete circle. My OB/GYN recommends an early/elective c-section. However, 2-3 doctors in Lahore have said it’s not an indication for c-section and a fair trial for natural labour with good monitoring should be given. I’m confused what to do. I obviously would prefer a vaginal birth over a c-section. Is it safe to switch to a doctor who’s willing to give trial of labour in a well equipped hospital like Hameed Latif? My doctor runs a small private clinic in a smaller city with less monitoring facilities.
Our hospital is well equipped with reasonable charges. U can book an appointment with me

Just to clarify to all doctors, this is my first pregnancy so no history of previous c-section.

thts true -nuchal cord is nt an indication fr CS-as babies do deliver wth cord around neck-but it can become the cause of fetal distress tht can b only evident wth strict fetal surveillance during labour-signs of distress might nt becum apparent as well-another thing is failure to progress-in tht case ur obstetrician shud b around to take immediate point is wth nuchal cord predicting anythg or giving definite MODE OF DELIVERY is sum wth risky and controversial-i personally donot favour CS in first place-i do giv vigilant trial of labour-rest ethg is wth Allah...u and ur husband shud b knowing consequences of either mode of delivery before making any decision...
